Maritza is the mother of Joey and Madison. Her and her husband Scott have been members of South Peoria Baptist Church over ten years. Since then she has had the opportunity to be involved in our church, Awana's program, Vacation Bible school and teaching Sunday school.
She enjoys working with the children. In Maritza's spare time she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
One of her favorite verses of the Bible is: Matthew 19, verse 14, Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." I always say to my little ones in Sunday school how much Jesus loves them and how special they are to Jesus.
